Build Your Career While Making a Difference with Youth!
O-I-See Youth Strategies is a small nonprofit organization in Hudson, Wisconsin providing individualized, one-to-one support for youth ages 7–18. As a Youth Support Mentor, you will build meaningful relationships with individually matched youth while helping them develop skills, confidence, strategies, and solutions toward individualized goals. Sessions take place at our Hudson office and throughout surrounding communities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning or building a career in psychology, human services, social work, education, special education, sociology, criminal justice, counseling, or another helping profession.
What You'll Do

Provide individualized, one-to-one guidance and support for youth.

Plan meaningful and enjoyable sessions based on each youth's needs and goals.

Build professional relationships with youth, families, and team members.

Collaborate with Social Workers, Therapists, Educators, and other community professionals.

Complete youth documentation and monitor progress.

Coordinate schedules and manage responsibilities independently.

Participate in team collaboration, professional development, and organizational projects.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is caring, dependable, organized, flexible, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative while working collaboratively as part of a small team. A Bachelor's Degree in human services, social work, sociology, psychology, criminal justice, education, or a related field is preferred. Applicants with a two-year Human Services degree, current college enrollment, or significant youth experience may also be considered. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and auto insurance, be able to pass a criminal background check, and obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
Schedule & Compensation
Full-time | Monday–Friday | No weekends
Youth sessions primarily occur during afternoon and early evening hours, with work hours extending as late as 8:00 p.m. Part-time applicants may also be considered when their availability aligns with the needs of youth currently waiting for services.
Starting wage: $17–$19 per hour, based on qualifications and relevant experience. Youth Support Mentors can advance to the Youth Support Counselor position as training, experience, and demonstrated professional competencies are achieved. The Youth Support Counselor wage range extends up to $21 per hour. For professionals interested in continued growth, O-I-See also offers opportunities to develop toward future leadership and management responsibilities.
