O-I-See Youth Strategies is a small nonprofit organization in Hudson, Wisconsin providing individualized, one-to-one support for youth ages 7–18. Behind every youth session is a team of people helping our organization remain welcoming, organized, safe, and connected to the community.  Whether you are interested in future employment, volunteering your time, or gaining experience in the nonprofit and human services fields, there may be a place for your strengths at O-I-See. Opportunities can provide hands-on experience while allowing you to give back to your community and contribute to an organization focused on helping youth grow.

Future Employment Opportunities

O-I-See anticipates hiring another Youth Support Mentor in March 2027. We welcome individuals interested in future opportunities to introduce themselves before a position officially opens. Youth Support Mentors work one-to-one with individually matched youth to build meaningful relationships while helping them develop skills, confidence, strategies, and solutions toward individualized goals. This role can provide valuable experience for individuals pursuing careers in psychology, human services, social work, education, special education, sociology, criminal justice, counseling, or other helping professions.

Volunteer With O-I-See

Making a difference doesn't always mean working directly with youth. Volunteers can contribute their own skills and interests while helping O-I-See operate effectively behind the scenes.

Current areas where volunteer support may be helpful include:

• Vehicle Maintenance: Help with cleaning, organization, and keeping O-I-See vehicles ready for youth sessions.

• Office & Facility Support: Assist with cleaning, organization, and seasonal projects.

• Marketing & Social Media: Help share O-I-See's mission through social media, community outreach, and organizational storytelling.

Build Experience for Your Future

Volunteering with O-I-See can be more than giving your time. It can be an opportunity to build practical experience for your résumé while exploring a future career. Depending on the role, volunteers may gain experience in nonprofit operations, professional communication, teamwork, organization, community outreach, problem-solving, marketing, project development, leadership, and human services. For college students, recent graduates, individuals considering a career change, or those interested in simply helping, this experience can provide real examples of skills and responsibilities to bring into future applications and interviews. We also recognize that volunteering should be meaningful for the person giving their time. Whenever possible, we want to match opportunities with an individual's strengths, interests, experience, and professional goals so the experience benefits both the volunteer and the O-I-See community.​
